This is the logo to my cafe. i thought i might name it cafe ole because I thought it sounded like something someone would name a coffee shop. I liked the idea of a cup with the steam on a saucer, so i thought i might add the name of the shop on the cup. the brush strokes make it look more like a cafe type of thing. (I think) it took me a while to acually figure stuff out, and get the logo put together. i wasn't sure how i was going to go about doing it. In the end i thought this type of look to the logo, will make my shop look like a traditional, comfortable, relaxed cafe, were people can just come and drink some coffee, or what ever else i said is here. the type of text i used, just looks nice on the cup. (I think at least) the black and white..(even though it looks grey) well i think it makes the logo look pretty sophisticated, and the 2 logos beside each other look nice. either on works, but i personally think the colour one looks abit better. so anyways, this is the logo to my cafe.

So a group of us made this video that's about the student nutrition program in lakeshore. this was not the original video we were goin to do. first we was gunna d a video that had to do with police and stealin or something, then it went on to somethig with terroist and what not, basically we had alot of ideas that..well i'm not gunna say were shut down, but were frawned upon..implyin do another idea. it took alot of bickerin and ideas flying around. ipersonally said to just do something simple like this from the begining, but i guess my idea didn't stick..but in the end we ended up just goin with this. we did this idea because, it took the least work, we were all tired of our ideas going down the drain, we were running out of time, and at that point we wanted to just hand something in (and also, i thought seth was guoin to kill alex) then came the process of shootin the video. wow, we weren't even goin to do it like this. we were goin to do another bit, but we never stuck to our word and came in for lunch to acually shoot it, so we went with the idea of doin alex walkin sayin a speech. to make it abit longer, we also added miss walker into the mix, and vwa la! we finally had our video...nope. not quiet. then came the painful process of editing. well no not really for me. nathan did the editing, we kinda just watched and put our 2 cents in, if needed, and we got ms silverman to help out to. once it was done, we were acually pretty satisfied with our result. it didn't have any stigma towards students who can't afford to eat breakfast in the mornong. an average student showing other students like him how easy it is to join the nutrition program. i think we got the message across fairly well, i am happy with the result (altho, i do think it was kind of boring, and maybe i could have filmed it a bit better...) because we said what we needed to say, and got it out there.
I got a picture of a skyline (not sure which city) and changed it up, to make it as a lable for an energy drink. Photoshop is the program i used to do this, and without my twin i would have had a very hard time with it. once she showed me a few things, i got the hang of it, and it became pretty easy after a while. i took all the colour out of the city, and made it a grey and black sillouette. I don't really like it, but i got it done, so i'm happy..not satisfied, but happy with it...

My poster is about abuse towards women. i'm trying to get the attention of the people seeing it,so i put a really shocking statistic about violence towrds women. the main goal is to get the attention about the white ribbon campaign, which was made because of the montreal masecure, 20 years ago. i acually enjoyed doing this poster, because i'm really interested in social issues such as this one, and doing this poster helped me learn a bit more about it.i also had alot of trpuble because when i was learning about the masecure, i kept getting really pissed of that it happened n' stuff, and i had to stop doing it so i wouldn't snap. and also, it was my first time using photoshop. but other than that, i thought this was a good assignment, and i liked the way my poster turned out. i'm satisfied...

Julie, Duncan and i did this poster that took forever to finish. it was easy at first because i wasn't doing anything, but then duncan left and julie got sick, so i acually had to do the work. which was easy once i got the hang of it, and it acually saved. we did the words based on what the definition described it as. i like the way it turened ou, i'm satisfied...

So...i chose to do an orange, because...i like the fruit. i like the traced one the best beacuse it came out looking the most decent. but i also like the free hand with colour too, so maybe i don't like the traced on the best...i don't know. i used the paintbrush tool alot for the free hand ones, which was anoying because i had to do it over and over and over to get it looking the way it is now, and doing the individual dots on the traced one and the free hand without colour was really painful. Just clicking over and over and over..enough to drive me mad, but i like the way it turned out, which is half decent. this was a fun assignment at first, but it was really fusrtating if you have no idea how to do it. and i didn't, and like i said before, Ms. Silverman dosen't always come when you call...or maybe i just call her too much...or maybe i just like way to much attention...any how, i guess it was fun, i don't know, i like the way it turned out. i'm satisfied...
